Black History Mini-performance

We, as the 6th grade and Advanced Chorus, spent some time studying songs of significance that tell of, or were of, Black History in the United States.  While the songs were timely within the month of February, they are our curricular songs that we will continue to work on throughout the semester.  You will hear them again in May.   Here is what we have completed so far: (Click on the link below)

The Fall Concert of 2020

Hello Chorus Parents!! I know it has been a long time since I posted. This school year has been challenging, to say the least. With everything going on, I felt it important to somehow find a way to help the students continue to sing. Our Fall Concert contains the work and successes we have had through the first and some of the second quarter. There was and still is much to learn being in this remote situation but I think we are hanging in there! Send me an email if you would like the link to view our Fall Concert. I hope you enjoy it!

Our Final post for the year

This year had some real challenges and setbacks as well as some heartbreaking sacrifices, however all these kids had so much heart and took it all in stride.  I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful group of musicians!  So very proud of them!

TUSD Choral Festival

Yup!  This plucky young group of singers will be performing at the annual TUSD Choral Festival, being held at Palo Verde High School.  If you came to Open House, you heard our project piece "Alfie" in its simple form.  This performance, we added some harmony that allowed the students to test their ears for balance and also to experience the lyrics more (as a reminder) of the importance of how to treat people.  If you cannot make it to this event, I will try and post an audio link so you can hear how much progress we have made and have a comparison to later performances of the song... among others.
The only bump in the road for this activity and others is the lack of parent chaperones.
WE NEED YOU!!
Please consider joining us on October 17, or on the following dates this first semester, they are:

November 15 (a Friday) in a morning walk to Tucson High.  Event will be finished by 11:00 a.m.
December 17 (a Thursday) another morning walk to Tucson High.  Event will be finished by 11:00 a.m.
We need 1, 2 people max, and currently have NONE. Please contact me through email, text, or comment on this page and I will contact you to confirm!
Thank you so much for your support!!
